Why I Started Dirt Social
I still remember what it felt like to be brand new to mountain biking. It was exciting, intimidating, and completely outside my comfort zone. What made the difference wasn't just learning to ride, it was encouragement I received from people who believed in me before I believed in myself.
Then at the beginning of 2026, Laurie Simpson Brown of Simpson's Fitness and Adventure Sports asked if I would consider leading a women's mountain bike ride. The moment she asked, something clicked. I knew exactly how it felt to be the new rider searching for confidence, connection, and someone to ride with. I also knew there had to be other women looking for the same thing.
That conversation became the beginning of Dirt Social.
Today, my goal is simple: to create the kind of community I wish every woman could find, a place where encouragement come first, every rider belongs and confidence is built one ride at a time.

Everyone belongs.
Every skill level is welcome.
Community over competition.
Adventure builds confidence.
We celebrate every victory, big or small.
Confidence isn't build by starting on the hardest trails. It's built one ride, one small victory, and one encouraging friend at a time.
